Researchers and sex experts discovered that having sex stimulates the body to create immunoglobulin A (IgA), an antibody that is vital to the healthy operation of our mucous membranes. The mucous membrane is the first line of protection against malicious viruses and germs, as is well known.

Sexual activity is classified as cardiovascular activity. It is categorised in this way because our hearts pump blood during intercourse. When we engage in sexual activity, we not only assist our body's immune system function at its best but also our heart. 

Conducted studies revealed that men who had more regular sex were less likely to acquire any heart-related diseases than men who only had sex once a month.

 

Oxytocin is released by the body more easily when an orgasm is experienced. It was discovered that oxytocin was effective at bringing down women's blood pressure.

Additionally, after we orgasm, our bodies release a hormone called prolactin that induces sleep in our bodies. The combination of these hormones is ideal for snuggling up to your wife and getting a good night's rest.

 

Sex also improves the quality of sleep, by the way! Sex increases oestrogen levels in women, enhancing the REM period of sleep and resulting in extremely deep sleep. For men, this applies.


7. Sex is beneficial for mental and emotional wellbeing
